Do you need to hire an agency - or just find the right person?
My career has taken a few wild turns to bring me where I am today.
The first leg of my journey was spent as a newspaper reporter in Ohio, where I wrote on daily deadline pressure for 15 years. I got really good at sorting through scattered facts and presenting them in a clear, concise way.
With marriage came a move to Philadelphia and a pivot to the online space.
I built my first website to sell laptop bags I designed and shipped all over the world. The company grew quickly, but I found I liked working on the website more than running a retail business, so I got a job in web content.
I spent the next 15 years learning digital tools and managing digital marketing teams in the corporate world.
Been there, Done that,
would love to help.
Writing, known as “content”, became a building block I learned to optimize with SEO.
The higher I climbed the corporate ladder, the more time I spent managing people who did things instead of doing them myself.
I hired and worked alongside many agencies and was frustrated by how long projects took, and the often chaotic communication involved in getting them over the finish line. It felt inefficient and expensive. I knew I had to get back to making things.
When the opportunity to take a corporate buyout presented itself during the pandemic, I set my sights on a different path.
I decided to combine the skills built over my career to help inspire others to make their next move and reach their dream business goals.
What’s your brand story?
I enjoy helping clients communicate their value to customers. That may sound like a easy thing to do, but it isn’t so simple.
Successful websites communicate value quickly. Very quickly.
Studies show visitors to your website will form an initial impression in 50 milliseconds and leave if they don’t understand “what’s in it for them” in 10 seconds or less.
For your website to be effective, it has to work very hard in that short amount of time:
Design has to be spot-on.
Words must be used economically.
Value needs to be clear.
Tech has to function smoothly.
My value is being able to streamline those services, saving you headaches, hassle and money.
